do yourself some justice

Frank Relle's unprecedented show titled "One Life" is now on display at the Photo Alliance Gallery in New Orleans. The Relle-style night scenes are images of murder scenes in New Orleans. The scenes show no sign of crime however, having been shot some time after the scene has been cleaned up and the stats have been filed.

The photographs are supplemented with information about education and crime statistics. The images are named for the person who was murdered at that location, and show some additional information such as the age of the victim, location and sometimes the age of the suspect.

The photographs are limited to an edition of one, each representing the one life taken at that location. Proceeds from Relle's work will be donated to Efforts of Grace, a non-profit organization fostering community development and education.

Pay a visit to the Photo Alliance Gallery in the coming weeks, and give a quiet moment to this show.

ode to circus life

oh sweet circus life,
we hoist the tents
and load the finer things with care
and greet the humans
and take it down again,
on to the next town.

its a good life for me,
the trapeze artist with striped tights.

tax day is done.
time to get back out in the sun

if you're in chattanooga this weekend,
look out for me under the first TN Pavillion.

if not, pay a visit to my website and blogs for what sweet little updates i have managed amidst the madness of circus life.

more soon.
for now, i'm off to flying practice!

your new orleans lion tamer,
