Good News for Dreamers

My "Oh To Dream" Bedding Collection at Anthropologie has gone on sale!
Sweet dreams are even sweeter now. :)

Over the Thanksgiving holiday I was showing my Anthropologie products to my cousins, aunts, uncles who were in town. We tried to look up the bedding online and couldn't find it. I was bewildered, only to jubilantly find it in the SALE section. I bet my family aren't the only ones who will be excited to hear this.

Ok now, Rest Easy, even on a tighter budget.
When this softness covers your bed, there's no wrong side to wake up on.
Trust me.

Walking

You watched me walk into your life before I knew your name.
You watched me fall fast in love with you.
You watched me grow-up slow, break-down hard, fall-behind rough, catch-up quick and persevere.
You watched me become an artist.
You watched me become a woman.
You watched me struggle.
You watched as my dreams came true.
You watched me apologize, explain, listen, sympathize.

You watched me sleep.

You watched me get the house of our dreams.
You watched me beg at your feet each time you left.
You watched me pull my weight, hold my own, mend your clothes, and load the truck more times than I can count.
You watched me ask you to marry me.
and You watched me cry when you said "no".

So now, watch me walk away.
and let me go.

Framed Paintings

Framed originals now at Tripolo Gallery in my new stompin ground of Covington, LA. I posted these last week before they were framed, but I wanted to provide an updated photo of all three because I think the framing so beautifully highlights the works. See earlier post for size and pricing information. The painting on the right, titled "Sleeping Scaup" is sold, but the other two are still available... so far. Call Danny at the gallery with any questions, 504-236-8827.

This gallery is one I'm proud to be showing with, after a long courtship. Danny first showed interest in my work when I first came on the scene in 2007 or 2008. Years later, I am humbled to have these pieces as my debut at his gallery in the quaint little town of Covington, LA, where my treehouse studio is located. The northshore is worth the hour-drive from New Orleans for all the great antinque shops, cute boutiques, Abita Brewery and of course, the free roaming trees. If you make a weekend of it, stay at a bed and breakfast like The Camellia House, and stop by Tripolo Gallery and tell Danny I sent you. Then eat next door at Sorelli's Brick Oven Pizza. You'll have a fine time.

Curious Deciduous

My dinnerware collaboration with Anthropologie features my signature tree paintings in a sort of tall tale where each plate tells part of the story. Furry and feathered friends go on adventures that always lead back home for storytelling over supper.

Available in stores nationwide and at Anthropologie.com
